The Music, The Magic, and Drac Studios
I wanted to release a few songs that I felt passionate about- songs that were a great representation of what I do. I knew I did not want the sound to be over polished, like a lot of the music you hear today. I wanted it to have that raw edge about it. Something that grabbed you when you listened to it, whether it be musically, lyrically or both.
There is something real for the listener when you have a raw sound, so I wanted to keep this to more of a true rock n roll type edge. It's perfect... with it's own imperfections.

We recorded the tracks at Matt Sorum's Studio (Drac Studios) in Los Angeles. Every studio you walk into has a certain vibe to it, that you can feel the creativity that has been created prior.

At Drac, there is this presence of other musicians that have recorded there. You are literally in the midst of some great musicians there and the creativity just comes together. Some musicians being, of course, Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, Slash, Billy Gibbons, Lemmy Kilmister , Phil Campbell , Billy Idol , Steve Stevens , Rick Rubin , Cherie Currie , Josh Homme , Scott Weiland , Corey Taylor and many more .
Nothing is ever really "finished". There is always this preconceived notion of how you think the songs are going to come out no matter how many times you have rehearsed it. The truth is, there is something that always changes and that is the magic that happens in the studio.
